Erika and Benjamin Sifrit, a married couple from Pennsylvania, were convicted for the murders of Joshua Ford and Martha Crutchley in Ocean City, Maryland, in 2003. For the crime Erika committed, she is serving a life sentence plus 20 years at the Maryland Correctional Institution for Women in Jessup. Her husband, Benjamin is serving a 38-year sentence at the Roxbury Correctional Institution in Hagerstown.
The criminal couple met Ford and Crutchley at a nightclub in May 2002 and invited them back to their condominium. Here they accused the couple of stealing Erika's purse, which led to the murder. The Sifrits went on to dismember the bodies and dispose of the remains at a Delaware landfill. Days later, they were apprehended during a burglary at a Hooters restaurant, where police found the victims' identification in Erika's possession.
The story of their case will be featured in the upcoming episode of Very Scary Lovers which will be hosted by Donnie Wahlberg and Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg. The episode is all set to premiere on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 10:00 PM ET/PT on Investigation Discovery.
